One hundred and five had medical consultation and treatment for various complaints on the first day in Boriya, while 200 more were seen on the last two days in Shiya. Various conditions encountered are summarized below.
Every available opportunity was seized to emphasize that all we did was based on Christ’s eternal love. Each day was started by addressing the people and telling them of how much Christ love them. Gospel film was projected each night. Brethren were on the lookout for opportunity to present the gospel or at least to establish a relationship for further conversations.
One person made a fresh decision for Jesus while another rededicated his life to Christ. The children were not left out as eleven of them made decisions for Christ during the children evangelism.

REPORT OF BMO 2023
“
“The outreach was very interesting. I am even surprised that with the present economic situation in the country, the whole team can come to treat our people freely! Indeed, we are very grateful. Seeing the number of people that came, I never knew we would be able to cover this much. Thank God that everybody was attended to and treated. I pray for their quick recovery. May God bless the whole outreach members.” – Mr A.H (OIC, Yashikira Cottage Hospital
We are grateful to the doctors that came to our people in Baruten to treat us free of charge. All the tribes that came which included the Batonus, Fulanis, Kotokoris, Hausas, Ibos, Yorubas, and the rest were treated without collecting any money! We are really grateful that you left your destination to travel all the way to do this for us. May God bless you abundantly. We pray that you will have safe journey as you return to your destinations. – Mr G & A (Indigenes)
“… The resources were there, the experiences were there and the opportunities to showcase what God have put in us. We are very grateful to the Organizer, Raphasent Medical Mission. God will continue to bless and increase you. It has been such a blessing for all the participants. Testimonies have been shared and will continue. Compared to last year edition, BMO 2023 is a great leap in improvement, and come next year, it shall be greater than this with fruitful results. Come 2024 if the Lord has not come, we shall all be partakers” – Engr. M.O (BWGM, Ibadan)
Sixty two participants, both medicals and non medicals, from across 7 states of Nigeria, came together with a unity of purpose and took the love of Christ to Yashikira district of Baruten Local government area, Kwara State, sharing border with the Republic of Benin. This took place from the 15th to 20th of August, 2023.
Five hundred and twenty two (522) people were attended to for medical consultation, treatment, counseling and prayers. Forty Five (45) free day-case surgeries were done with good outcome. These efforts resulted in one hundred and fifty four (154) documented fresh decisions for Christ. Thirty five people from three villages affirmed their decisions, as confirmed by the immediate follow up effort, and they have been enrolled in a discipleship programme. An estimated sum of 2.2 million naira was expended on this Kingdom business.
All these happened because you prayed, gave and made yourself available. Most importantly, because God showed Himself strong again on our behalf. So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase 1 Cor 3:7
There are still many challenges that faced this life-touching outreach needing financial intervention. In order of priority, the outstanding one is to have our own means of mobility i.e a Bus to move participants and a strong, durable pick-up truck to move our equipments/materials. If the Lord touches your heart to contribute to making this a reality, do not hesitate to reach out to us on how this can be done.
We also appeal to you to labour with us in prayer for abiding fruits. Our vision is to make disciples that will arise to make other disciples for the Lord among the Baribas and other tribes in Baruten LGA. We also seek to have healthy communities in the long-term, where prevention is a focus. You can be a channel.
God bless you!
