Raphasent School of Medical Missions (SOMM)

This is a 18 hours online training that takes place twice a year. The 18 hours  is spread over  2 weeks.

• Missionaries or intending Missionaries
• Believers with passion for missions

What is the cost implication?

The training is tuition-free after a token registration fee

• Biblical basis of Medical Missions
• Medical Mission 101
• Health, Healing & Wholeness
• Effective Short-term Medical Mission
• Worldview, Culture & Health
• Introduction to Hospital Ministry & Chaplaincy
• Marketplace Ministry for Christian Healthcare Professionals
• Loving the Muslims
• Leadership in Healthcare
• Medical Mission Heroes
• The Spiritual Life of a Healthcare Minister

Qualification for certification?

• Discipline during training session
• Completion of all sessions
• Submitted report of active participation in a medical mission outreach or other relevant projects

Raphasent Medical Mission Mentorship (MMM)

 This is a one – year real life mentorship programme for intending Medical Missionaries. Some of the experience a Mentee will acquire include:

• Practice-based experience on the mission field
• Rotations through some selected Mission Hospitals
• Mobilization of resources for Missions
• Sharpening of medical and surgical skills in poor resource settings
• Deep fellowship in prayer and the word

Who can be recruited

• Christian Medical Doctor Post-National Youth Service
• Christian Medical Doctor Post-Part 1 Residency Training
